Himachal Administrative Services (HPAS) examination is a state level exam conducted for selecting appropriate candidates for state level services. By far the exam has been conducted all most every year skimmed the best brains in the state. The exam comprises of three phases with Prelims being the first exam.

The Preliminary exam is an elimination test which comprises of two objective types Papers:-

Paper 1:- GENERAL STUDIES:- This paper is a test of candidates general awareness and understanding of disciplines like History, Polity, Economy with special reference to Himachal Pradesh.

Paper II: – CSAT:- This paper test the general IQ of an individual through Mathematics , Reasoning & Comprehension as well as the aptitude for civil services. After clearing Prelims the next phase is called Mains exam which comprises of FOUR papers & two OPTIONAL SUBJECTS :

HPAS Mains Changed Pattern

IMPLEMENTATION OF HPAS EXAM CHANGED PATTERN IN 2017 :- Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission KS Tomar today said the micro-level syllabi of general knowledge papers of Himachal Pradesh Administration and Allied Services is in its final stages and would come into force in the HAS written examination in 2017.

The process of switching over from the HPAS to the IAS pattern started eight months ago, making the state the first to incorporate the change, he said.
