AFCAT Coaching Detail
• Our batches start 1st
and 20th of every month. The classes are held 8 hours daily with no holidays
are observed even national holidays are working for us.
• The classes will be from
morning 09.30 hours to 14.30 hours and then again from 15.30 to 20.00 hours.
Saturdays and Sundays are also working for us.
AFCAT Exam Pattern
The AFCAT Question Paper consists of 100 questions (total marks being
300)
All questions will be of three marks each. For every correct answer the
candidate will get three marks and for every wrong answer one mark will be
deducted under negative marking. The total time allotted for the paper is two
hours.
AFCAT Exam Syllabus
(a) General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics,
Basic Science, Defense, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.
(b) Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence
Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.
(c) Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit
and loss, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion and Simple interest. (approx. 30
questions)
(d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial
Ability.
Eligibility Criteria AFCAT Exam
1) Flying Branch (200/16F/SSC/M/W)
Age: 20 to 24 years as on 01st July 2016 (born between 02nd July 1992 to
01st July 1996) both dates inclusive
Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot
License issued by DGCA (Indian) is relaxable upto 26 years (born between 02nd
July 1990 to 01st July 1996) both dates inclusive
Educational Qualifications: Graduates (minimum 3 years degree course) in
any discipline from a recognized university who have attained minimum 60% marks
in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at
10+2 level or B.E./B.Tech degree (4 year course) from a recognized university
with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together
Candidates who have failed the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) in an
earlier attempt or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force
Academy will not be eligible to apply
2) Technical Branch (199/16T/PC/M, 199/16T/SSC/M & 199/16T/PC/W)
Age: 20 to 26 years as on 01st July 2016 (born between 02nd July 1990 to
01st July 1996) both dates inclusive
Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L): Candidates applying for AE
(L) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year
degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Sections A and B
examination of Associate membership examination of the institute of electronics
and telecommunication engineers by actual studies
All candidates applying for AE (L) branch should have scored a minimum of
60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.
Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE (M): Candidates applying for AE (M)
branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification
from a recognized university or cleared Section A and B examination of
Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical
Society of India by actual studies
All candidates applying for AE (M) branch should have scored a minimum of
60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together
3) Ground Duty Branch (199/16G/PCM and 199/16G/SSC/M-W Courses)
Age: 20 to 26 years as on 01st July 2016 i.e. born between 02nd July 1990
to 01st July 1996 (both dates inclusive)
Administration and Logistics: Graduate Degree (Minimum three year degree
course) in any disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all
papers put together or a Post Graduate Degree/equivalent Diploma in any
discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.
Accounts: Graduate Degree in Commerce (B.Com) (Minimum three year degree
course) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or
Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com) /CA/ICWA with a minimum of 50% marks
in aggregate of all papers put together.
